What is Explorers All About?
Explorer Scouts makes up the final section of the 6 to 25 programme and provides Scouting for Young People aged 14 ½ to 18. If you are younger than this then have a look at what our Scout Troop has to offer.
As an Explorer Scout, you will get the chance to work with other Explorer Scouts in the District, not just your Unit. By doing this, you will get the chance to do many more activities, not just the ones your Unit organises. Explorers is organised by district, in our case Northern Norwich, so the units are not part of groups like Scouts, Cubs and Beavers are.

Explorers in Costessey
In partnership with the 27th Norwich and the Nelson's Victory Explorer Scout Unit we try to encourage older Scouts from both of the groups to think about moving up to Explorers when they reach the age of around 14 ½, where they have the opportunity to participate in the same exciting & adventurous activities that Scouts offered, but at the next level.
As well as existing members of the Scout Association, new members are also welcome to come and attend to see what Explorers is all about.
